This course is designed as an access route into Acting and Performing Arts. It introduces the Creative Industries, the various employment opportunities available and the key skills required to pursue work as a performer.

Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- 3 units/subjects at SCQF Level 4 or above in English/Communications, Drama, if possible
- 3 National 4 qualifications including English
- Industrial experience and or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
AND
- Successful interview/audition

- NC Acting and Theatre Performance Level 6
- NC Technical Theatre Level 6

External Candidates
One of the following
- 2 Highers including Drama and/or English plus 4 Standard Grades/National 5 qualifications
- A related/relevant NC course at SCQF Level 6
- Industrial experience or other relevant qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
AND
- Successful audition. Candidates will be required to take part in a group workshop and present a monologue (between 1.5–3 minutes). This can be of their own choice or supplied by the College

HND Acting and Performance
SCQF Level 8
This demanding practical course requires student application of learned techniques, knowledge and practice in year 1 (HNC) towards production and site specific performance projects. Students are also given opportunities to develop ideas and practice towards their own professional development as well as audition technique and mentoring. On completion of this course students will be able to consolidate and contextualise their understanding and practice with a view to progressing either directly into employment or on to degree level with associated articulation partners/universities.
